Happy Thanksgiving!

In just a few hours from now, many of you, like us, will be sitting down to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. While you do that, we’d like to encourage you to also spend time reflecting on all the blessings we enjoy in the shooting sports industry.

As you all know, our industry continues to work its way out of a sales slump. And undoubtedly, we’ve got challenges in front of us. But the holiday season is a time for optimism and an opportunity for brighter days for you and your companies.

Over the next month or so, you’ll all get the chance to increase sales, meaning you’ll be able to continue providing for your employees and families. Don’t forget, it’s our family, friends, neighbors, colleagues and sometimes even our competitors, who are there with us and for us – no matter what.

During the recent NASGW Expo, we both discussed the importance of standing together. That we’re stronger together than we are alone. We’re grateful that you are a part of our shooting sports family and we’re thankful you’re there with us every step of the way.

So in the spirit of Thanksgiving, we want to let you all know how thankful and grateful we are to you as our members and supporters. We’re thankful for:

  1. Your participation – We just wrapped up our largest and most successful Expo in history. You helped us surpass records in the number of exhibitors and attendees, making our event productive and profitable for everyone who attended and the feedback has been spectacular.
  2. Your trust – Because of your trust in the NASGW show, we’ve already sold out our show space for 2016 in Kansas City and we’ve started a waiting list. We’re sure to see some space open up, so if you think want to take part, and haven’t reserved a space, make sure you get your name on the list. We appreciate your faithfulness and support.
  3. Your feedback – Over the past few months, you’ve been supremely generous with your time and have provided great advice in a variety of ways. It’s through your continued comments and suggestions that we’ll continue to make NASGW even more successful.
  4. Your attitude – To be successful, attitude is everything. Your positive attitude and “can do” spirit are the lifeblood of our organization.
  5. Your commitment – In order for us to overcome the challenges we’re sure to face on the road ahead, your continued focus and commitment to stand together as an industry will enable our positive future.

The NASGW Expo and Annual Meeting, your support and encouragement, and coming together as a team united behind an important mission… all great reasons to be thankful this year. To you and yours, a very blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!

Kenyon Gleason,
NASGW President

Pete Brownell,
