NSSF: Action Alert State House Lobby Day and Retailer Help

Jul 20, 2016

NSSF is requesting that all Massachusetts retailers assist with the GOAL Lobby Day this Saturday at the State House. The Attorney General has attacked your business and now is the time to make your voice known. This coming weekend, the legislature will be holding more weekend sessions that will spell the end of the formal legislative session on July 31.

First, we are asking all retailers to please stand with GOAL and NSSF to work to stop the abusive actions launched by Attorney General Maura Healey. Healey has been delivering speeches at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia this entire week bragging about how her anti Second Amendment actions have dramatically affected gun sales. She is more than happy to see our small, independent family businesses suffer for her political gain. Make no mistake, she wants to shut YOUR BUSINESS DOWN!

So please join GOAL and NSSF at the state house again this Saturday, July 30, 2016 from Noon to 2 p.m. There will not be an outside rally. This time we are asking people to spend their time in direct communications with legislators inside the State House.

Second, please contact your state legislators and tell them that the Attorney General’s office is offering no assistance or guidance as to what firearms you are allowed to sell, disrupting your livelihood and ability to serve customers.

People you should plan to meet and talk with:

  • Governor Charlie Baker - Room 360
  • Senate President Stanley Rosenberg - Room 332
  • House Speaker Robert DeLeo - Room 356
  • Your Local State Senator
  • Your Local State Representative

Special Notes:

  • The only State House entrance open this weekend will be on Ashburton Place
  • The general public will not have access to the building prior to 11 a.m.
  • Prepare to go through security
  • You cannot carry a firearm, knife or pepper spray in the building
  • They typically do not allow signs or banners in the building
