The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW), the association representing shooting sports wholesalers, manufacturers and their trade partners, announced donations to three nonprofit organizations to support industry advocacy efforts for the upcoming elections.
“These donations are designed to support initiatives that benefit the shooting sports industry,” said NASGW Chairman Pete Brownell. The donations were awarded to the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF), the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), and the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA).
Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation
The Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation received $25,000 to support important work in navigating the legislative landscape in Washington D.C, and working to protect 2nd Amendment freedoms and rights. “We are appreciative of the generous support provided by NASGW,” said CSF President Jeff Crane. “With more than 26 years of public policy experience, we strive to maintain a strong presence in the halls of government representing the interests of America’s sportsmen and women. It is continued support from our community partners, like NASGW, that allows us to continue our pursuit of working with Congress, governors and state legislatures to protect and advance our outdoor traditions.”
National Shooting Sports Foundation
The National Shooting Sports Foundation received $25,000 to support their Gun Vote program. “Once again, the NASGW has seen fit to donate a significant amount to the NSSF’s Gun Vote Initiative, for which we are extremely grateful. This generous gift will be put to good use in this crucial election year for our industry, and we hope that others might follow the lead of the NASGW and help the NSSF to execute its mission ‘to promote, protect, and preserve hunting and the shooting sports’ for generations to come. Our sincere thanks to all at NASGW for making this donation possible, and we are proud and reinvigorated by its very tangible show of support," said Steve Sanetti, president of NSSF.
NRA Institute for Legislative Action
The NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action received $100,000 to support their efforts of education and advocacy in protecting 2nd Amendment rights. “The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers is a valued partner in the NRA’s fight to defend the Second Amendment. NAGSW plays an important role in improving the sporting experience for hunters and shooters and NRA members appreciate their commitment to preserving the freedoms and traditions we hold dear,” said Chris W. Cox, executive director NRA-ILA.
The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers is comprised of wholesalers, manufacturers, independent sales reps, media and service providers - both national and international - all of whom are primarily focused on shooting sports equipment and accessories. As a trade association representing the business interests of its members, NASGW’s mission is to bring shooting sports buyers and sellers together.
