As I write this letter, while simultaneously packing for New Orleans, I’m excited about greeting old friends and new at the NAGSW Expo. I sincerely hope your plans are made, your meetings are scheduled, and your eventual travel into “The Big Easy” is exactly that – easy!
For months on end, I’ve been preaching the importance of organizing your expo. I stand by that recommendation as it will undoubtedly bear more fruit for you. But, I’d be remiss if I didn’t encourage you to get out, have a little fun, and grow your social circles. Events like Awards Reception and Dinner on Tuesday evening and the Industry Networking Reception Thursday night are great places to break bread with one another and win new friends. After all, life is all about relationships.
Speaking of the Awards Reception and Dinner, in case you haven’t heard, our keynote speaker is one of the most influential people in the firearms industry – Executive Vice President & CEO of the National Rifle Association of America, my friend, Mr. Wayne LaPierre. Since our event is only open to Expo participants with a ticket to attend, it allows Mr. LaPierre to speak candidly with each of you about the status of our Second Amendment. Perhaps like never before, you’ll get a real insider’s look at what’s happening on the Hill and around our industry. The event will kick off in Grand Ballroom A & B at 6:15 PM. Please, make plans to be there!
Another important event is the NASGW Wholesaler Membership Meeting, taking place on Wednesday morning at 8 AM. This meeting is only open to voting members. There, you will get a deeper look at how our organization is fairing, a look at some strategic initiatives we will be exploring and the election of board members. I encourage you to attend!
While the Wholesaler Membership Meeting may only be open to wholesalers, I want to be sure our manufacturer partners understand how much we appreciate them. Many of them have committed to NASGW Expo-exclusive specials. That’s one of the many great benefits of NASGW membership, so be sure to get to EVERY table and take advantage of these one-time offers. Manufacturer partners – thanks to each of you for your commitment to our organization!
While I’m thanking people, I want to be sure our fine NASGW staff knows how proud I am of their incredible work. Their commitment to the membership has never shown brighter as we’re poised to host another great Expo.
We’ll see you in New Orleans!
