Wholesale Member Q&A: Matt Taschner, Bill Hicks & Co., Ltd.

Sep 15, 2016

How long have you been a member of NASGW?

Bill Hicks has been a member of NASGW for as long as I can remember.

In what ways does your NASGW membership help your wholesale business?

The NASGW is the recognized organization of wholesale distributors in the shooting sports industry.  It provides credibility, direction, and the many services we utilize on a daily basis.

What advice would you give to a new manufacturer member of NASGW?

Support your wholesale distributors with a true two step program that provides the legitimate margin necessary to service the needs of all sales channels.

Why do you think wholesale distribution is the best method of product delivery for the shooting sports industry?

There isn’t a better one – wholesale distributors have a vast assortment of product conveniently available 24/7/365.  Retailers, shooting ranges, gunsmiths, etc. will find the products necessary to fulfill their customers’ needs through wholesale distributors.

Anything new on the horizon for your business for 2016 or 2017?

In the past couple of years Bill Hick’s & Co., Ltd. has redesigned its website, upgraded our computer system, expanded the warehouse, improved customer service, and added sales associates to better service our customers’ needs. We will work closely with our vendors to provide the products and opportunities that our customers rely on us for including the newest products, limited editions, TALO and BHC exclusives.  Our focus will always be fulfilling our customers’ shooting sports needs for the collective prosperity of everyone involved.

What are you looking forward to for this year’s NASGW Expo?

The NASGW Expo is our (wholesaler distributor’s) show and we’re proud to be a part of it.  It’s a time to visit with shooting sports industry professionals, plan business, explore new opportunities, and enjoy the NASGW sponsored activities.  Personally I haven’t been to KC and am looking forward to being there amongst friends.
